Jaqui Lee | Aspire
Leading the Regional ASPIRE team, Jaqui Lee has her suitcase always packed ready to travel the 30,000 kms each year visiting ASPIRE’s 24 regional partner schools. With team collaboration, Jaqui makes sure the 249 workshops ASPIRE delivers in regional classrooms are innovative and thought-provoking. Jaqui and her team also run four residential camps each year for students from regional partner high schools, where students have fun experiencing university life and develop their academic skills and independence.
Jaqui joined ASPIRE in 2014 after working for many years in the museums education sector, as well as in the primary classroom. As the first person in her family to go to university and also coming from a LSES background, Jaqui has a shared understanding and experience with many of the students that ASPIRE works with. Helping students to reach their full potential is very important to Jaqui, and she enjoys being a part of the ASPIRE team that works towards this goal every day.
A true romantic at heart, Jaqui can be found conducting wedding ceremonies as a registered marriage celebrant in her spare time. She is also known to dabble in a bit of amateur floristry, or you might find her having a sticky beak at a bric-a- brac market. Jaqui’s favourite place on campus is the coffee shop/café, a must-visit at the start of each day.
