Samantha Skinner first joined ASPIRE in 2013, and since then has filled various roles and made a quick foray into the not-for-profit sector along the way.

Currently Samantha is a Senior Project Officer for AimHigh, overseeing both the ASPIRE Advantage Program for students in Years 10-12, and the UNSW Gateway Entry Scheme.

As a qualified teacher and career development practitioner, Samantha enjoys working with senior high school students from diverse backgrounds, to plan their pathway to further training, higher education and employment.

Samantha grew up in south-western Sydney, attending Ingleburn High School, and was the first in her family to go to university. After graduation she took up various teaching positions in regional NSW, before relocating to Sydney in 2013.

In her free time, Samantha spends time with family, at the beach, walking her dog and exploring Sydney’s sights.

Here at UNSW Samantha likes to visit the nearby fountain and chat to the friendly ‘Campus Cats’ who, although well cared for by the UNSW Cat Lovers Society, are always keen for a pat or any stray tidbits of lunch!
