Tom Stonestreet | Aspire

Role:
Project Officer Regional Hub
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education (CSU Bathurst)
Professional Diploma of TESOL

Tom is a recent university graduate, having studied secondary education at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst. Tom has spent most of his life living in regional Australia, having lived in rural parts of both Queensland and New South Wales.

Tom began working with ASPIRE in 2017 as a Project Officer in the Regional team. Tom’s employment was unique to ASPIRE as he and his colleague Anna are based in Gilgandra, some 450km away from UNSW!

Tom and Anna work closely with a cluster of eight (soon to be more!) regional schools and communities, helping to develop strategies and initiatives that aim to widen the participation of regional students into higher education.

Tom has a vast array of interests. When he isn’t playing sport, you will find him reading, listening to music or enjoying nature. Tom loves to travel and is passionate about education. He hopes to bring his love of the two together when he sets off later in life to teach around the globe!
